Sealed bids for GIBSON COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT – NORTHERNS CHAPEL ROAD OVER BRANCH will be received by MR. BRIAN COLEMAN, HWY CHIEF ADMIN OFFICER at GIBSON COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT, 1244 MANUFACTURERS ROW, TRENTON, TN 38382. Bids will be opened next door at the EMA BUILDING, 1246 MANUFACTURERS ROW, TRENTON, TN 38382, on MAY 31, 2022 at 10:00 AM local time, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
An official list of bidders will be maintained at www.a2hplanroom.com to ensure eligibility requirements of the bidder are met prior to bid opening. Any bid submitted from a bidder not on the official bidders list and/or not containing the above information will not be opened.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
Pre-Bid Information:
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. next door to the Gibson County Highway Department in the EMA Building, 1246 Manufacturers Row, Trenton, TN 38382.
Site Information:
This bridge site is located under TVA high voltage electric lines. The contractor will be required to coordinate with TVA representatives. Construction must take place in the early spring of 2023 in order to correspond with two pre-arranged TVA outage windows. All construction activities requiring vertical clearance must occur during these outage times. These windows of time are as follows: March 13 – 23, 2023 and April 17 – 21, 2023. Contractor shall provide bid for pipe piles, as well as an alternate bid for concrete piles. Vertical and horizontal clearance limits provided by TVA will dictate the type of piling used. The engineer will provide this information at the pre-construction meeting.
