Sealed Bids for the construction of the Earle Wastewater Treatment Improvements will be received by the City of Earle, Arkansas, at the office of the City Clerk, 1004 2nd Street, Earle, Arkansas, 72331, until 10:00am local time on Tuesday, 14 June 2022, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read at the City Council Chambers, 1005 2nd Street, Earle, Arkansas, 72331. The Project consists of constructing a new chlorination system and related improvements at the Earle Wastewater Treatment Facility.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form.

Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.

Prospective Bidders may examine and obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of the Earle Water Company, 1014 2nd Street, Earle, Arkansas, 72331, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00am to Noon and 1:00pm to 4:00pm and at the office of Pickering Firm, Inc., 317 South Church Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas, 72401, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Project Description:

The work required under this Contract consists of all activities required to complete the following:
  • 1. Demolish existing chlorination building
  • 2. Remove existing effluent pump station fiberglass shelter
  • 3. Furnish and install new 2-compartment fiberglass shelter
  • 4. Furnish and install new chlorination system
  • 5. Perform all incidental work required to complete the project as shown on the Contract Drawings and described in the Technical Specifications.

Questions:

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
