Bidders shall be licensed and qualified per state law. Five percent (5%) Bid Security is required in the form of a Bid Bond or check (certified or cashier’s) made payable to State of Tennessee. Non-discrimination policy applies.
This project consists of the construction of a new one story, 14,818 SF building providing classrooms, lab space, offices, and storage areas. This is classified as an S-1/B Mixed Occupancy. The construction is primarily a load bearing CMU wall with steel bar joists and a brick veneer façade. A 7,238 SF addition of a one story multi-purpose room classified as an A-3 Occupancy. Construction type is a steel post and beam structure, with brick veneer and architectural mesh cladding. A 1,900 SF open air pole barn classified as a U Occupancy building. A 3,200 SF interior renovation in the existing Admin. Building for a Cosmetology classroom and renovation of the main entrance. The work shall include all civil, landscape, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire alarm and electrical work, and the following:
Additionally, the General Contractor shall ensure to include the following as a part to the Work:
All utilities as required for building operation both from inside the building to 5'-0" outside the building, and from 5'-0" outside the building to the appropriate main service line as coordinated with utilities provider or other applicable city officials. This includes tap fees, meters, connections, electrical transformer and pad (as required), and all other Work related to utility provision and installation as required for complete operation.
