FY2026-149 Scarboro 85 Monument Construction

Bid Information:

The City of Oak Ridge is soliciting bids for the construction of a monument to the Scarboor 85 students who integrated Oak Ridge Schools in 1955 in strict accordance with the terms and provisions of the attached sample contract. The Scarboro 85 Monument Project will be constructed on City-owned property in A.K. Bissell Park. The City will receive bids for this project until December 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., local time. At that time, the City will publicly open all received bids in the Central Services Complex Conference Room at 100 Woodbury Lane, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830.

Pre-Bid Information:

The City shall hold a suggested pre-bid conference on November 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., local time. The meeting will start at the Oak Ridge Senior Center located at 1405 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830 in Room D, and then bidders will move to A.K. Bissell Park for the on-site visit and conference. Prospective bidders are not required to attend the meeting in order to submit a bid, however, attendance is strongly encouraged.
