Johnson YMCA - Pool House & Partner Space

Pre-Bid Information:

There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 3:00 at the project site (4727 Elvis Presley Blvd.).

Project New Whitehaven Y Phase II A:

The completed proposals shall not exceed 30 pages including cover letter. The business shall submit ten (10) sealed and labeled copies of the proposals. The Johnson YMCA will accept complete proposal packets until Friday, November 17th, 2023 at 4:00 PM CST. Complete proposal packets will be submitted to Margaret Caufield, YMCA of Memphis & The Mid-South, 7171 Goodlett Farms Parkway, Cordova, TN 38016, and shall be clearly marked with “Project New Whitehaven Y Phase II A” on the outer packaging. A firm will be chosen by the Johnson YMCA at a meeting no later than November 24th, 2023. Any questions concerning this Request shall be directed, in writing, to Margaret Caufield at margaret.caufield@ymcamemphis.org.

This project will construct a pool house that will include an office, check-in station, men's restroom, women's and family restroom. In addition, a shaded pavilion/shaded picnic area will be built. A pumphouse with pool filtration equipment are also included. Also, pool deck repair, pool resurfacing, new fencing and a new accessibility ramp are also part of this pool project.

As part of the phase II construction of the new Whitehaven location, the Georgette & Cato Johnson YMCA intends to construct a 3,000 square feet to be used as a multipurpose building for a variety of YMCA and community programs. It will be a heated shell with parking spaces and lighting. All utilities will be run to this building for future buildouts.
