Bird House Improvements RFP 2025

The scope of this project, as detailed in Attachments 1 and 2, includes a new roof, new HVAC systems and electrical improvements (as required), repairs to exterior plaster walls, windows and doors (as needed), and repairs to terra cotta trim (as noted). Work must be phased, as detailed in the documents, to allow birds and their keepers to occupy parts of the building during construction. The building will be closed to the public during active construction.

An additional site visit will be held at 2:00 p.m. CST on September 30, 2025 for only the attendees of the mandatory Prebid meeting held on September 24, 2025. Prospective Bidders should meet at the main entrance of the Bid House

Bid Information:

Proposals will be accepted on or before 3:00 PM CST on October 9, 2025. Bids shall be submitted electronically at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/missouri/stlouiszoo. To ensure ease of submission, consider uploading well ahead of the deadline time. Late submissions will not be accepted. Any submitted proposal shall remain valid and subject to acceptance for ninety (90) days after the proposal due date.

Pre-Bid Information:

A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held at 8:30 a.m. CST on September 24, 2025 in the Bayer Theater located in the lower level of The Living World at the north entrance. Bidders may park in the north lot and will receive vouchers to exit. Additional site visits will only be granted to attendees of this meeting.
