DeSoto County Courthouse Renovations 2025

a. Exterior Improvements include the removal and replacement of sidewalks as shown on the landscaping plans. New cast stone or cast in place concrete flower bed edges. New irrigation system. Some tree demolition, and some areas of existing flower bed planting demolition. Grading along new ramp and stair locations required for getting to new zero transfer from new concrete to new sod or existing grass areas. New railings at stairs and ramp. Exterior work to start after the end of the “Farmer’s Market”. b. Interior Improvements include the replacement of carpet in all courtroom areas and adjacent areas to courtrooms, renovation of the main restrooms on the first and second floor, and the removal and replacement of VCT tile in the corridors with epoxy terrazzo. Interior work is to be conducted on nights and weekends. No work will be allowed on the interior during court days. Trim work will be required for flooring installation.
